AS ALWAYS SAINTS PROMOTIONS ARE UNBELIEVABLE DURING JULY 8-13 HOMESTAND

ST. PAUL, MN (July 7, 2014) – It’s time for us to spill the beans about our nerdy promotions for the next homestand.  Whether you think leprechauns are unbelievable we can definitely tell you it was a little faith and maybe a touch of luck that helped propel the St. Paul Saints to their last championship.  Let the cool Saints promotions help get you through the dog days of summer.

Tuesday, July 8 vs. Amarillo Sox (7:05 p.m.) Spilling the Beans About Biodiesel presented by Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council: Grab some vegetable oil and get ready to make your own biodiesel.  OK maybe it’s not quite that easy, but we will Spill the Beans About Biodiesel with the help of our friends from the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council.  Fans tailgating can receive a free biodiesel t-shirt when they post a photo of themselves with the Saints’ cow mascots on social media, using the hashtag #BreatheBetterMN. Other events at tailgating include additional giveaways, a super hybrid Metro Transit bus that runs on biodiesel and more consumer-friendly information about biodiesel. Prior to the Saints game on July 8, Minnesota Soybean will promote a coupon on their social media sites that could get game-goers a free $10 gas gift card. The first 50 people to bring the biodiesel coupon to their tailgating booth will receive a gas card.  Get as much knowledge as you can on biodiesel with Metropolitan State University Tuesday plus craft beer specials throughout the evening.

Wednesday, July 9 vs. Amarillo Sox (7:05 p.m.) Nerd Night: Steve Urkel, Sheldon Cooper and Screech unite as the brainiacs come together for Nerd Night.  Strap on the suspenders, tape up the glasses and slip in the pocket protectors because geek is chic.  You don’t need to know Fermat’s Theorem or understand The Doppler Effect to enjoy this night at the ballpark.  Something that is easy for all of us to understand is free hot dogs during the craziest tailgate party of the year on Walser Wednesday.

Thursday, July 10 vs. Amarillo Sox (7:05 p.m.) St. Patrick’s Day In July: We don’t need a reason to enjoy an adult beverage, but just in case you do we’ve created the perfect day, St. Patrick’s Day in July.  Even if your name isn’t O’Flaherty or McDonald this is a night for those wanting a taste of the Irish for one day.  Whether you enjoy an Irish beer, want to kiss the blarney stone or are in search of a leprechaun just make sure to dress in your favorite green outfit.  The Saints will do exactly that as they wear special green St. Patricks Day uniforms that will be auctioned off during the game.  Of course it’s a Thirsty Thursday.  Did you really think we would put our St. Patrick’s Day in July on another day?

Friday, July 11 vs. Kansas City T-Bones (7:05 p.m.) A Night of Unbelievable Fun: The Third Strike presented by Minnesota Atheists and Freedom from Religion Foundation: Maybe we should call Ripley’s for a night like this.  If you’ve been abducted by aliens aboard a UFO, caught a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster or stood toe-to-toe with Big Foot this is the perfect night for you as we celebrate A Night of Unbelievable Fun: The Third Strike presented by Minnesota Atheists and Freedom from Religion Foundation.  The Saints will once again don the popular “Aints” jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game.  One thing we know exists is the Friday Night Fireworks presented by Xcel Energy.

Saturday, July 12 vs. Kansas City T-Bones (7:05 p.m.) A Celebration of 2004s Northern League Championship and The Miracle League Presented by Accurate HomeCare: A celebration of one of the greatest miracles in St. Paul Saints history is preceded by the entire 2014 Saints team putting on a baseball camp for the Miracle League of Minnesota presented by Accurate HomeCare.  The Miracle League provides opportunities for children between the ages of 3-19 with disabilities to play Miracle League Baseball.  The entire Saints team will take part in a camp from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and play catch with the kids, give them instruction and play a baseball game.  During the game the Saints will celebrate the 2004 Championship Team that came back from a 6-3 deficit and won 10-6 on Mark Mirizzi’s grand slam.  Come celebrate the chance to win up to $77,777 on St. Croix Casino Big Money $aturday.

Sunday, July 13 vs. Kansas City T-Bones (1:05 p.m.) Faith and Family Day Plus the Saints Team Card Set Giveaway: There is nothing better than a Sunday afternoon under the sun in summer with the family.  Faith organizations from the Twin Cities are encouraged to come out and spend time socializing and having fun the Saints way.  The first 1,000 fans will receive a Saints team card set giveaway.  Collect your favorite Saints players or trade away a couple of player cards for an extra Mudonna card.  Following the game kids run the bases and get team autographs.

We have hit our stride and begin the second half of our home schedule.  We will give everyone something to believe in whether it’s a championship run or good old fashioned fun.  Summer is in full swing and there is no better place to be than the ballpark.

Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value.  Tickets are $6 for general admission, $9 for outfield reserved and $14 for infield reserved.  Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks (except August 28) are an additional $2 per ticket.  Saints Special Event Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks Supershow (August 28) are an additional $3 per ticket.  Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket.  Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price.  Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.

Box Office Hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  On game days, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game.
