HOW ROMANTIC, SAINTS TO HOST TINDER LOVING CARE NIGHT

 

ST. PAUL, MN (March 25, 2014) – Those looking for love can find it with just a click of a button these days.  Whether you want the perfect match, looking for harmony in your love life or are simply looking to mingle, online dating is at an all-time high.  The St. Paul Saints are going to prove the city of Saint Paul deserves the label “The Most Romantic Destination in North America” by hosting a truly unique promotion with Tinder Loving Care Night.

 

            On Thursday night, May 22 fans won’t need to come up with a witty profile or a creative screen name, nor will they need to wait days or weeks for the person of their dreams to respond.  The Saints will provide a ballpark full of possibilities where their next love interest will all be within the confines of Midway Stadium.  Set your dating range to one mile or less because love will be in the air on this night.  Get your swiping hand ready because all it takes is a flick of the wrist to the right or left to let that special person know if you’re interested or not.

 

            Saints fans can find a date for an evening or a long term commitment with two separate opportunities as the Saints try to set the record for most Tinder dates in one central location.  The first is to come equipped with the Tinder app on your phone and get ready to fly through thousands of dating candidates.  The second is to take part in the live, interactive Tinder Loving Care contest.  As fans enter through the gates, they can have their photos taken.  In between innings the photos will be displayed on the video board, along with their seat location, and if a suitor sees something they like then all they have to do is head on over to that area in the ballpark.  In addition two lucky fans, one male and one female, will take part in the live version of Tinder.  The male will stand in front of a line of females, while the female will stand in front of a line of males.  Each will “swipe” to the left or right depending on their interest. 

 

            “For the past 21 years Saints games have been a home for romance at all levels.  We’ve played host to thousands of first dates and probably even a few lasts.  We’ve seen everything from proposals to be engaged, to weddings on the field, to the celebration of anniversaries from Paper to Gold, said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer.  “We’re excited to bring the opportunity of a romantic connection for our fans to the next level.  What better way to do that than with great entertainment, a little baseball, an evening under the stars, and your favorite mobile device.”

 

            The Saints furry mascot, Mudonna, will also get in on the fun and create her very own Tinder account.  Fans that make a Tinder Loving Care connection during the evening will receive two tickets to a future game and will be entered into a drawing to win a romantic dinner and hotel stay at a local Saint Paul locale.

 

            The May 22 game is also Thirsty Thursday with dollar beers all night long.  In addition the Saints Craft Beer Area will be open all evening.

 

            Tickets for all Saints regular season home games are available in person at the Saints Box Office, by phone at 651-644-6659 or online at saintsbaseball.com.  Tickets for Saints regular season home games are $6 for general admission, $9 for outfield reserved and $14 for infield reserved.  Tickets purchased on the Day of the Game are an additional $2 per ticket.  Tickets to the May 25 and September 1 Fireworks Super Show are an additional $3.  Children under the age of 14 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price.  Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
