For the second time in less than a week the St. Paul Saints played an afternoon game they would like to forget. With a high noon start at CHS Field on Tuesday the Saints fell to the Wichita Wingnuts 11-1 in front of 8,553.
With first baseman Angelo Songco still on the shelf and the Saints in the middle of a tense race for the North Division, manager George Tsamis took another step to bolster his lineup by trading for a big bat.
He had one of the more incredible seasons in Saints franchise history. It earned him the American Association Player of the Year honor in 2015 and he had his contract purchased by the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.
