Getting to CHS Field

Feeling Neighborly, Securian Becomes A Founding Partner At CHS Field

ST. PAUL, MN March 11, 2015

ST. PAUL, MN (March 11, 2015) – The St. Paul Saints signed an eight-year founding partner agreement with their new Lowertown neighbor and long time ballpark supporter, Securian Financial Group.  The agreement provides the financial services company with a premier location and multiple promotional opportunities at CHS Field. The keystone of the partnership is the Club Level of the new ballpark, which will be branded The Securian Club, a high-end, all-inclusive indoor/outdoor venue located along Broadway and one of the jewels of CHS Field.  The area will serve a year-round, dual purpose - for club level season ticket holders during Saints games and events and for catered and other private events at all other times.  Saints fans and corporate partners can purchase season tickets in The Securian Club which include first-class food, soft drinks, beer and wine, and padded outdoor seats.

We are thrilled to welcome Securian as a Founding Partner at CHS Field and even more excited that the Club, one of the ballpark's most iconic features, will bear it's name,” said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer.  “We, and our partners at the City of Saint Paul, couldn’t be more grateful for Securian's unwavering commitment to this project since its inception.”

For Saints games and other special events, including concerts, the Securian Club will seat more than 260, including accessible seats. For private events, the 4,032 square foot indoor area has room for more than 200 guests for a seated meal function, and up to 250 people for a reception.  The south end of The Securian Club consists of an outdoor club deck, an amenity for all Club Seat season ticket customers seating more than 50 guests for both Saints games and private events. The Securian Club offers spectacular views of CHS Field and Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary to the east, sandstone bluffs along the Mississippi River to the south and the skyline of downtown Saint Paul to the west.

The Securian Club will have 10 flat screen TVs, which offer cable television access during Saints games and can be utilized for custom presentations during private events.  There is also a built-in sound system for everything from toasts at a wedding to keynote speakers for corporate functions.

“Securian has been happy to call downtown Saint Paul home since our founding in 1880,” said Securian President and CEO, Chris Hilger. “We are excited to be a founding partner of this important project for the City and the downtown community.”

While opening day of the Saints season isn’t until May 21, CHS Field is already scheduled to hold numerous events beginning in late March.  Information regarding availability of the Securian Club, for catered and private events, can be obtained from Events Manager Jillian Beard, by calling 651-288-9886 or emailing her at
