From Front To Back Saints Cover Everything During Toilet Paper Drive Presented By Innovative Office Solutions

ST. PAUL, MN June 11, 2014

ST. PAUL, MN (June 11, 2014) – Whether you prefer one-ply or two or just can’t spare a square everyone has their toilet paper preference.  While the average person spends approximately three years sitting on the toilet during their lifetime they use more than 60,000 rolls of toilet paper in that time.  With so much TP being consumed the St. Paul Saints and Innovative Office Solutions are rolling out their annual Toilet Paper Drive.

On Monday, June 16 Innovative Office Solutions, through a partnership with Charmin, is helping the Saints donate over a year’s worth of toilet paper, 840 jumbo packs of 30 rolls, or more than 25,000 rolls.  All of that, along with additional donations, will be sent to 2nd Harvest Heartland and given to those in need.

Fans and media members are encouraged to come to 2nd Harvest Heartland, located at 1140 Gervais Ave. in St. Paul, on Tuesday, June 12 to watch the massive drop off of all the toilet paper rolls.

“We’re thrilled to keep this event rolling for another year, and with generous support from Charmin and many others, we can help those in need Enjoy ‘The Go,’” said Chief Information Officer, Jason Player, of Innovative.

It’s a good thing the Chinese invented toilet paper because before that the Ancient Romans used sponges or sticks and then soaked in water.  Although in some parts of the world if you weren’t well off people grabbed a fistful of grass, leaves or straw to do what needed to be done.  In other parts of the world people would just go to the nearest river or stream, letting the current carry the waste away while any wiping was done by hand.

For those that need to be entertained on the toilet there is novelty toilet paper that ranges from glow in the dark, to money printed on it to Sudoku paper, for those that like to solve math problems on the john.

The Saints take on the Lincoln Saltdogs on June 16 with game time beginning at 7:05 p.m. and the gates opening at 6:00 p.m.

Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value.  Tickets are $6 for general admission, $9 for outfield reserved and $14 for infield reserved.  Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks (except July 3, August 28) are an additional $2 per ticket.  Saints Special Event Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks Supershow (July 3, August 28) are an additional $3 per ticket.  Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket.  Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price.  Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
