Goldklang Groups Senior VP, Tyler Tumminia, Named Sports Business Leader of the Year

ST. PAUL, MN April 12, 2013

On April 19th 2013, the Minnesota State University, Mankato Sport Management Program will be hosting the Cambria Dinner of Distinction. During this award ceremony, the Sport Management Program will be honoring various professionals within the sport industry, including the Sport Business Leader of the Year award. This annual event will be held on the campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato. This prestigous honor is awarded to a sport business professional that demonstrates remarkable leadership, community involvement and displays several other aspects that make a great sport business leader. The 2013 Sport Business Leader of the year:

 

Tyler Tumminia

Senior Vice President of the Goldklang Group

 

Ms. Tumminia is responsible for the marketing and broad scale sponsorship, operations and communications efforts for the Goldklang Group. She developed the Goldklang Group’s award winning marketing philosophy, Be Your Own Fan, in response to current market trends and industry analysis.

 

One of Ms. Tumminia’s most heralded accomplishments is the development of the Professional Baseball Scouts Hall of Fame. It has received tremendous recognition throughout the industry. Tyler herself successfully completed MLB Scout School in the fall of 2011.

 

February of last year, Tyler became co-owner of the Pittsfield Suns, a summer collegiate baseball team that plays in the Futures League in Pittsfield, MA, making the Suns the newest addition to the Goldklang Family. Ms. Tumminia serves as a mentor for young sport executives, speaks on the campus of elite colleges throughout the nation, and has served as a moderator on various panels made up of professional sport executives throughout the years.

 

The Cambria Dinner of Distinction will bring together sport business professionals, students and community members for a night to celebrate the various award winners and Ms. Tumminia’s achievements.
