Getting to CHS Field

Hello From CHS Field During July 4-6 Homestand

ST. PAUL, MN July 1, 2016

Some of the most beautiful sounds of the season will emanate from CHS Field over a three day period from July 4-6.  The sounds of fireworks going boom into the night won’t drown out one of the most incredible renditions of an Adele song because we’ve written the rule book on entertainment.  It’s a quick three game homestand, but one you will be talking about the rest of the season.

The three game homestand against the Joplin Blasters begins on Monday, July 4 at 6:00 p.m. with our Independence Day Celebration with a Post-Game Fireworks Super Show.  The Saints will don special Fourth of July uniforms that fans can bid on all night and take home a little piece of USA flavor.  The uniforms will be white with the script Saints across the front of the jersey.  The “S” will be blue with white stars and the “Aints” will have red and white stripes across it.  Military members will be chosen as that night’s Field of Dreams, where they will run onto the field with the Saints prior to the game and stand on the field with them for the National Anthem.  At approximately 9:30 p.m., or whenever the Saints game comes to an end, the largest fireworks show in the city of Saint Paul will take place as red, white and blue light up the skies.

The city will be hopping on Tuesday, July 5 during the 7:05 p.m. game.  Sure the Xcel Energy Center has Adele, but We’ll Send Our Love to Someone Like You as we say Hello From The Other Side (of downtown) to Adele.  You’re our One And Only and All We Ask is that you sit back and enjoy our version of one of the more popular songs of 2015.  All the singing will leave you starving, but we’ll take care of the food on Mississippi Market Tasty Tuesday.

They haven’t appeared anywhere before now as the Unwritten Rules come to life during the final game of the homestand on Wednesday, July 6 at 7:05 p.m.  Baseball provides more than 200 pages of rules dealing with equipment and uniforms to playing the game, but what about how long you’re allowed to watch a home run after you’ve hit it or can you bunt during a no-hitter?  The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive the 2016 Unofficial Rulebook.  One of the most outspoken former ballplayers of these rules, Goose Gossage, will be on hand to sign copies of the Saints Unwritten Rulebook giveaway and perhaps debate the likes of Bryce Harper, Jose Bautista and Yasiel Puig.  One thing that’s not up for debate is Walser Wednesday is the craziest tailgate party of the year.

If you’re feeling a little patriotic come out to CHS Field and say Hello to us during the 4th of July because there is no rule that says you have to spend Independence Day at the cabin.  Instead enjoy three days, from July 4-6, at CHS Field.
