LAST TRAIN TO MIDWAY BEGINS WITH FOUR GAME HOMESTAND ON MAY 15
ST. PAUL, MN (May 12, 2014) – The St. Paul Saints open their final season at Midway Stadium and we dare you to keep silent with all the great fun in store for 2014. Bring out your entire family, including brothers and sisters, as our magnetic personalities are sure to shine while we replicate great promotions from seasons past.
Thursday, May 15 vs. Gary SouthShore Railcats (7:05 p.m.) – Come celebrate the final Opening Night at Midway Stadium as the Last Train to Midway chugs along the 50 game home schedule. All the pomp and circumstance associated with opening day will take place along with a special appearance from Big Brothers Big Sisters. The Saints have donated more than 800 tickets to the group who will make their annual appearance at the ballpark. Fans can find out when the big fireworks nights will take place and when the last game at Midway occurs as the first 2,500 fans will receive a magnet schedule presented by Mississippi Market. Enjoy $1 beers all night on Thirsty Thursday.
Friday, May 16 vs. Gary SouthShore Railcats (7:05 p.m.) – Don’t make a sound as it’s the return of 1993s Silent Night complete with Mime-O-Vision. It’s the first of 10 nostalgic promotions the Saints will bring back from the last 21 seasons. While Major League Baseball has instituted replay, the Saints will have mimes on top of the dugout re-enacting close plays during the game. Of course when this happened in 1993 the mimes were pelted with hot dogs. Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, as part of their Mini-a-Day-Giveaway in May will partake in a unique promotion called How Many Mimes in the Mini. The goal is to fit as many Mimes inside of a mini as possible.
It’s the first Xcel Energy Friday Night Fireworks show following the game.
Saturday, May 17 vs. Gary SouthShore Railcats (7:05 p.m.) – Just Say No To Drugs! The Saints host Dare night presented by Old Country Buffet. Through the kindness of Old Country Buffet 2,000 tickets were given to DARE program graduates and their families to attend the game. Also, fans will have a chance to win up to $77,777 on St. Croix Casino Big Money $aturday.
Sunday, May 18 vs. Gary SouthShore Railcats (1:05 p.m.) – The final game of the opening homestand closes with the kids’ replica Saints jersey giveaway to the first 500 fans 14 and under. Be the envy of all your friends with this stylish blue dry-fit style t-shirt with the “STP” logo on the chest. Following the game kids run the bases and get team autographs on Savers Family Sunday.
Let the fun begin at the ballpark. Whether you’re young or young at heart the Saints offer up entertainment that will leave you smiling from ear-to-ear. There are 50 home games from May 15 – August 28, but don’t wait too long because before you know it the curtain will drop on the season.
Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value. Tickets are $6 for general admission, $9 for outfield reserved and $14 for infield reserved. Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks (except July 3, August 28) are an additional $2 per ticket. Saints Special Event Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks Supershow (July 3, August 28) are an additional $3 per ticket. Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket. Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price. Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
Box Office Hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. On game days, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game.
