NOTHING MORE ‘MERICAN THAN THE SAINTS WITS DURING JUNE 19-24 HOMESTAND
ST. PAUL, MN (June 17, 2015) – Like beautiful jazz music the entertainment at St. Paul Saints games touches your soul. Throw on a Saints jersey because there is nothing that says ‘Merica like a baseball game. Get away from surfing the internet because our humor and wit will have you laughing so hard you’ll need toilet paper to clean up after yourself during the six game homestand at CHS Field from June 19-24.
The Saints welcome in the always tough Gary SouthShore Railcats from June 19-21 and the series kicks off on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. with our Xcel Energy Friday Night Fireworks. Each Friday night fireworks has a unique musical theme and this one gets everyone ready for Jazz Fest with the music of the Jazz Festival. CHS Field will be home to the Dr. John concert on June 27 and get into the mood with some of his greatest hits like Right Place Wrong Time and Gris Gris Gumbo Ya Ya.
On Saturday, June 20 at 7:05 p.m. nothing screams the good old USA like baseball as we celebrate “Merica Night presented by Discount Tire. Enjoy the sights and sounds of NASCAR, apple pie, light beer, fishing and much more on a night we become patriotic. Fans will have a chance to get up close and personal with the two unique pieces of Americana: the Clydesdale horses and the Discount Tire NASCAR. Of course there is nothing more American than kicking back, relaxing and getting a good tan as we get tropical on Treasure Island Saturday.
We round out the weekend on Sunday, June 21 at 5:05 p.m., on Father’s Day, as the first 750 youth fans and the first 750 adult fans receive a Saints replica jersey presented by Regions Hospital. Dress like your favorite Saints player for Halloween, at the next Saints game or even at your rec league when you try to mash like Ian Gac. Following the game kids run the bases and get team autographs on Savers Family Sunday.
The Saints welcome in one of the biggest surprises this season the Sioux City Explorers for a three game series from June 22-24. Monday, June 22 at 7:05 p.m. is a promotion you won’t want to just flush down the toilet. It’s the Toilet Paper Drive presented by Innovative Office Solutions. There are various ways to use toilet paper besides just wiping. Toilet paper can be used for everything from gowns, to words of the day to a cover for your phone. These and many more uses will be on display during this 2-ply night. Come for the potty humor, but stay for the wonderful diverse food specials on Metropolitan State University Munchie Monday.
Al Gore would be proud of our Tuesday, June 23 game at 7:05 p.m. as we salute the heroes of the Internet presented by University of Wisconsin – River Falls. Whether you are a weekend warrior playing your favorite game in front of the computer or Steve Jobs, Mark Zukerberg or Bill Gates this is a day for everyone influenced by the www’s of the world. We surf the interweb to find the most obscure information and perhaps answer the question, “Is there an end to the internet?” Perhaps you know the answer to that question and more on Mississippi Market Trivia Tuesday featuring Trivia Mafia.
The homestand concludes on Wednesday, June 24 with a 1:05 p.m. matinee with our good friend John Moe. He brings his unique style of comedy, conversation, songs and surprises to CHS Field for a unique version of Wits presented by Hamline University. The two greatest St. Paul entities, the Saints an Wits, come together for improve, sketch comedy and genuine beauty for nine innings of hilarity. Make sure you are out at the ballpark early for the craziest tailgate party of the year with Walser Wednesday. Free hot dogs are served at the 4th Street entrance.
The Saints are winning on the field and with their gem of a new ballpark, CHS Field. Six days jam packed with promotions that will leave you feeling jazzy in your new Saints uniform. There is nothing more ‘Merican than a night out at the old ballyard instead of in front of your computer surfing the internet. Tickets begin at $5 for berm seating (available on day of game), $6 for bleacher seats, $12 for the drink rail, $14 for outfield reserved, $16 for infield reserved and $18 for home plate reserved. Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks are an additional $2 per ticket. Post-Game Fireworks Supershows (July 4 and September 6) are an additional $3 per ticket. Saints Box Office hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. On game days, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game.
