PROMOTIONS FIT FOR A STEEL CAGE MATCH DURING SAINTS NEXT HOMESTAND

ST. PAUL, MN (June 13, 2014) – It’s one of the longest homestands of the season, a full week long, and our promotions are sure to leave you breathless from the body slam of energy it brings.  It’s a party style atmosphere that will make you want to teepee a house, but we ask you to be courteous and give back to those in need.  The Saints, or better yet the $@!^+$, attempt to answer the age old question “Did Han Fire First?” as we explode with fun in the for the week of June 16-22.

Monday, June 16 vs. Lincoln Saltdogs (7:05 p.m.) The Toilet Paper Drive Presented by Innovative Office Solution– The world’s largest toilet paper roll was made by Charmin and measured a monstrous eight feet high and had a diameter of more than nine feet.  That’s a lot of wiping.  While that may be impressive it isn’t more shocking than people who make wedding dresses out of TP.  While these facts are humorous the Toilet Paper Drive presented by Innovative Office Solutions is serious business as 840 packs of 30 jumbo rolls, which is approximately 25,000 rolls, will be donated to Second Harvest Heartland courtesy of Charmin.  Also, try to win a boat on Hannay’s Marine Monday.

Tuesday, June 17 vs. Lincoln Saltdogs (1:05 p.m.) Midway Matinee – There are two choices today. Sit at home and watch General Hospital, Days of Our Lives or a show hosted by Marie Osmond or head out to the ballpark for the Matinee at Midway.  Seems like an obvious decision.  School is out, so get the kids and bring them to the ballpark for the afternoon affair.  We will drop some knowledge during Metropolitan State University Tuesday plus the adults can enjoy a great beverage with our craft beer specials.

Wednesday, June 18 vs. Lincoln Saltdogs (7:05 p.m.) 2008s Purple Game– We’re bringing back Prince, or at least the night from 2008 in which we honored the pop musician, with our Purple Game.  Find your Love Symbol #2, jump in your Little Red Corvettes and don your Raspberry Berets because it’s time to party.  Put on your most outrageous outfit and Let’s Go Crazy.  The insanity continues with the craziest tailgate party of the year on Walser Wednesday.

Thursday, June 19 vs. Lincoln Saltdogs (7:05 p.m.) Dollar Dance Presented by TopLine Federal Credit Union – The average life of a dollar bill is just 18 months and 48% of notes printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing are $1 notes.  All of us can part with a dollar from time-to-time and today is one of those days as the Saints and TopLine Federal Credit Union present the Dollar Dance.  As the first 1,935 fans enter the gate, the first year TopLine Federal Credit Union opened their doors, they will receive a dollar bill.  Inside the front gate 10 non-profits will be lined up vying for your $1 donation.  Fans wanting to dig deeper into their pockets, or those not fortunate enough to be one of the first 1,935, are encouraged to donate to their favorite cause.  Dollars are the theme of the night as we have $1 beers all game on Thirsty Thursday.

Friday, June 20 vs. Rockland Boulders (7:05 p.m.) Friday Night Fireworks Presented by Xcel Energy - Fireworks were once used to scare off evil spirits.  Midway isn’t haunted, at least not that we know of, so we use them for the more traditional reason of exhilaration and enthusiasm.  What better way to spend a Friday night than enjoying a ballgame followed by our Xcel Energy Friday Night Fireworks.  Following the game check out the best fireworks show in the Twin Cities.

Saturday, June 21 vs. Rockland Boulders (7:05 p.m.) Star Wars Night– You’ve been “waiting for a long time” for this night.  No matter where you sit on the whole Greedo/Han Solo debate one thing is certain: Han Fired First!  We take an investigative look at George Lucas’ masterpiece on Star Wars Night.  Grab your lightsaber and hop aboard the Millenium Falcon as we head towards Tatooine to examine this classic movie like the Zapruder film.  You can buy your own Millenium Falcon by winning up to $77,777 on St. Croix Casinos Big Money $aturday.

Sunday, June 22 vs. Rockland (1:05 p.m.) Post-Game Wrestling Presented by the American Wrestling Federation – The St. Paul Saints are battling it out for a division title.  They are looking to send their three other division opponents into the turnbuckle and pin them.  While the Saints look to end their longest homestand of the season by body slamming their opponent it’s the post-game festivities that will have everyone delirious with a suplex of emotion.  Following the 1:05 p.m. game some of the biggest names in the American Wrestling Association will battle it out along with one surprise guest.  It’s also a Savers Family Sunday as kids can run the bases and get team autographs following the game.

Those that enjoy watching grown men beat each other up will get their fix, but be careful because the nerd in all of us will come out as we wield our lightsabers.  No matter how heated it gets don’t forget we always enjoy giving back.  It’s the longest homestand of the season so join us for the final homestand of June.

Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value.  Tickets are $6 for general admission, $9 for outfield reserved and $14 for infield reserved.  Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks (except July 3, August 28) are an additional $2 per ticket.  Saints Special Event Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks Supershow (July 3, August 28) are an additional $3 per ticket.  Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket.  Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price.  Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.

Box Office Hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  On game days, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game.
