SIOUX FALLS, SD (May 12, 2014) – The St. Paul Saints wrapped up exhibition play on Monday morning against the Sioux Falls Canaries.  The rain shortened game was called with the Saints leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth at Sioux Falls Stadium.

The Saints scored the lone run of the game in the first inning when Buddy Sosnoskie walked with one out and scored on an Angelo Songco two-out double.  That was the lone hit the Saints would record in their 3.2 innings at the plate against lefty Joe Bircher.

Left-hander Cole Nelson worked 3.0 innings for the Saints and gave up just two hits, a lead-off single to Brandon Jones in the second and a lead-off single to Dallas Tarleton in the third.  Nelson fanned four.
