Saints and Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce To Throw A Social Reception: "A Taste of the Ballpark"

ST. PAUL, MN January 20, 2014

ST. PAUL, MN (January 20, 2014) – Nothing beats a summer day watching baseball, relaxing in your seats while the smell of hot dogs, cotton candy and nachos waft throughout the ballpark.  The St. Paul Saints, in conjunction with the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce and their new exclusive dining partner, Levy Restaurants, will host a Social Reception: “A Taste of the Ballpark” allowing fans, and partners, a sneak peek into the 2015 Lowertown Ballpark.

On Thursday, January 30 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. the event, open to the public, will be held at the Union Depot in Suite 120, to the right of Christos Restaurant.  The Union Depot is located at 214 4th St. E., St. Paul, MN 55101, or approximately two blocks from the site of the new Lowertown Ballpark.  The Saint Paul Area Chamber event is $20 for non-members and $10 for members.

Members and fans attending the event will have the first opportunity to experience two unique opportunities that will satisfy everything from their top to their bottom.  Levy Restaurants will provide the evening’s menu with delectable food the Saints are likely to serve in the Lowertown Ballpark.  Items will include Highland Park Pork Nachos, grilled Minnesota corn, loaded dogs, Snelling cheese curds, Juicy Lucy’s and much more.  In addition there will be a hosted beverage area which will include drafts from Summit Brewery.  Along with that those in attendance will have a chance to test out the actual seats that will adorn the 7,000 seat ballpark.  Seats with padded bottoms, which will be featured in the suite, club level areas and lower level premium seats, along with ballpark style seats for the main seating bowl.

“The St. Paul business community, alongside our fans, has been instrumental in helping to make the Lowertown Ballpark a reality,” said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer.  “We’re excited to host this roll-out event with the Chamber of Commerce and the people of St. Paul to offer a preview of what they can expect when we move to the neighborhood.”

The event will also offer information and exciting new renderings of the ballpark. Saints staff members will be on hand to answer questions regarding partnerships, season tickets and club level seats and suites in the new Lowertown Ballpark.  The Saints will unveil the pricing structure for these areas along with additional photos of the new Lowertown Ballpark that have yet to be released.  Those interested in purchasing seats in the ballpark will have their first opportunity to speak with a Saints representative, have their questions answered and gain additional information.
