Saints Celebrate Penultimate Homestand August 15-17

ST. PAUL, MN August 14, 2014

SAINTS CELEBRATE PENULTIMATE HOMESTAND AUGUST 15-17

SAINT PAUL, MN (August 14, 2014)—And then there were six. There’s no place like Midway Stadium as the summer winds down. A three-game homestand may not be long, but it can be loud as the Saints celebrate home while counting down to the final games at Midway during the penultimate homestand August 15-17 homestand.

Friday, August 15 vs. New Jersey Jackals (7:05 p.m.) Wizard of Oz Night—Look out for flying monkeys! The Emerald City comes to Midway Stadium as the Saints follow the yellow brick road around the bases to home plate. Lock arms and join together to cheer the Saints on. Whether you are looking for brains, a heart, courage or just someplace to be on a Friday night, come and celebrate the 75th anniversary of Frank Baum’s classic tale, the Wizard of Oz, with us.  Stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks presented by Xcel Energy.

Saturday, August 16 vs. New Jersey Jackals (7:05 p.m.) Last Train to Midway Vinyl LP Giveaway—CD’s and eight-tracks aren’t old school enough for the Saints in this giveaway. The team goes all the way back to vinyl with an LP giveaway to the first 1,000 fans. The Saints partnered with 89.3 The Current to make “Take the Last Train to Midway,” an album full of eight great songs that have been Saintified by local artists. The album features Frankie Lee, Chris Koza, Jillian Rae, 4onthefloor, Vibrational States, BNLX, Joey Ryan & The Inks and Lounge-asaurus Rex. No record player? No problem. The team will be giving away record players to a few lucky fans during the game. For a sneak preview of the songs before the game, tune in to The Current. Don’t forget, it’s a St. Croix Casino Big Money $aturday with a chance to win $77,777.

Sunday, August 17 vs. New Jersey Jackals (1:05 p.m.) Polar Vortex Snowglobe Giveaway—The Saints are glad Midway made it through the winter. With 17 straight days where the thermometer touched zero degrees (assuming it still worked), warm summer days have been a welcome relief. The Saints are celebrating the stadium’s (and your) survival with a snowglobe giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Even if you don’t get a snowglobe, don’t worry. No one gets the cold shoulder at Midway. Kids run the bases and get team autographs after the game on Savers Family Sunday.

After this homestand, the Saints only have to count to three at home. There’s no place like Midway Stadium at the end of the season with the Saints. Come out and cheer the team towards the playoffs.
