Saints Get Witty With A Little Tinder Loving Care During May 22-25 Homestand

ST. PAUL, MN May 21, 2014

SAINTS GET WITTY WITH A LITTLE TINDER LOVING CARE DURING MAY 22-25 HOMESTAND

ST. PAUL, MN (May 21, 2014) – The St. Paul Saints will celebrate during their next homestand as they rejoice in the fact the new Lowertown Ballpark was just awarded the 2018 Super Bo…oh wait that was the other new stadium in the Twin Cities.  No matter. We are witty enough to come up with other great promotional ideas as we spread the love around to honor those that serve our country and take solace in the fact we didn’t get the big game by gorging ourselves with a lot of food as the May 22-25 homestand ends with a bang.

Thursday, May 22 vs. Sioux Falls Canaries (7:05 p.m.): The city of St. Paul was recently named the most romantic city in the U.S.  Not just in Minnesota, but in the whole United States of America.  We’re talking great restaurants, beautiful scenery and winter weather that makes us snuggle up with our loved one.  What better way to celebrate than with a night of Tinder Loving Care.  The popular dating app will be in full force as the Saints try to set a world record for most Tinder dates in one location.  The Saints fury mascot, Mudonna, will create her own account and a dinner “date” table will be set up for her on the visitor’s dugout (first base dugout).  People who “match” with her will have the chance to dine with Mudonna for an inning.  We will be swiping left and swiping right in our on field version of Tinder.  Men and women line up because you could be someone’s dream date.  All this romance wouldn’t be complete without Thirsty Thursday as your favorite adult beverages are just $1.

Friday, May 23 vs. Sioux Falls Canaries (7:05 p.m.): Two great comedic entities, the Saints and the popular radio show Wits, will converge for one entertaining night.  John Moe, the host of the popular MPR program, will bring his unique style of improv, sketch comedy, conversation and music in what is sure to leave Saints fans doubled over in laughter.  Moe will bring his band of merry misfits to the ballpark and add some credibility to the humor at Midway Stadium.  Following the game is a show that is sure to get fans out of their seats with the Xcel Energy Friday Night Fireworks display.

Saturday, May 24 vs. Sioux Falls Canaries (7:05 p.m.): One of the more special night’s at the ballpark as SuperAmerica helps the Saints Salute the Military.  Military members will receive up to six tickets by coming to the box office and showing a military ID.  The Yellow Ribbon Program, which honored St. Paul, West St. Paul and Blaine as Yellow Ribbon Cities prior to Opening Night in 2012, will be in attendance to help honor all the military members.  Also, fans can win up to $77,777 with St. Croix Casino Big Money $aturday.

Sunday, May 25 vs. Sioux Falls Canaries (5:05 p.m.): This is the final home game for the Saints before they embark on an 11-day, 10-game roadtrip, so we are going out with gluttony and fireworks.  Following the 5:05 p.m. game it’s our Monster Food Truck Rally.  Everything from meat to cheese to incredible desserts will satisfy even the pickiest eater.  The food trucks scheduled to appear are Tot Boss, O'Cheeze, Bacon Trolley, Anchor Fish & Chips, AZ Canteen, Taste of Target Field, Sandy's Grill & Italian Ice, Tiki Tim's, A Cupcake Social, Motley Crews, and R.A. MacSammy's.After you’ve had your fill of delicious food enjoy our first Fireworks Super Show of the year.  This 20 minute extravaganza will leave your mouth agape and your heart filled with joy during this Memorial Day Weekend.  It’s also our Savers Family Sunday, so kids can run the bases and get team autographs after the final out of the game.

It may be only four games, but there is so much packed into it that it should tide you over before the Saints return home on June 6.  So grab someone to hug as we show our military members how much we love them.  The Saints will make sure you feel Super.

Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value.  Tickets are $6 for general admission, $9 for outfield reserved and $14 for infield reserved.  Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks (except July 3, August 28) are an additional $2 per ticket.  Saints Special Event Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks Supershow (July 3, August 28) are an additional $3 per ticket.  Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket.  Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price.  Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.

Box Office Hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.  On game days, the Box Office will open at 9 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday and will remain open until 15 minutes following each game.
