SAINTS TRYOUT ON MAY 1 MOVED TO SAINTS SPORTS ACADEMY IN LAKEVILLE

ST. PAUL, MN (April 30, 2014) - Due to heavy rains the past three days, the St. Paul Saints will move the location of their May 1 tryout from Midway Stadium to the Saints Sports Academy in Lakeville.   The Saints Sports Academy is located at 9913 214th St. W. in Lakeville, MN. The tryouts will begin at 9:00 a.m., but participants are asked to be there at 8:00 a.m. to fill out paper work and stretch.

Each person showing up should come baseball ready in baseball attire, cleats, bring their own glove and a wood bat for position players.  All participants can showcase their talents at only one position.  Tryouts are free of charge.

Infielders will go through various defensive drills and show off their arms across the diamond. Outfielders will show their range and showcase their arm as well.  All position players will have a chance to take a few swings.

Pitchers will throw bullpen sessions while catchers will get behind the dish and show their ability to block balls and throw out baserunners.
