SAINTS OWNER, PRESIDENT MIKE VEECK TO BE FEATURED SPEAKER AT SPARE KEY GROOVE GALA

ST. PAUL, MN (February 3, 2015) – For 22 seasons the St. Paul Saints have tried to make a mark on the Twin Cities community.  They have done it in various ways whether through entertainment at the ballpark, donating to thousands of causes across the area, visiting local hospitals or sharing the clubs vision.  That vision was created by Fun is Good Founder and Saints Owner and President Mike Veeck, who will be the featured speaker at the 2015 Spare Key Groove Gala at Aria in Minneapolis.

On February 28 Spare Key will hold its annual gala, led by Master of Ceremonies, KARE 11’s Eric Perkins, to help raise money for housing grants for families with critically ill or seriously injured children in the hospital.  This is the organizations largest fundraising event and raised $400,000 last year while helping nearly 540 families.

Erich Mische and his crew have done a great job combining fun and fun-raising which is why Spare Key has been so successful,” said Veeck.  “Fun and good causes go hand in hand.”

Along with Perkins and Veeck, musical entertainment will be provided by Boogie Wonderland.  The Groove Gala is a fun and funky way to celebrate Spare Key and help families “Bounce and not Break.”

Veeck is a frequent speaker across the country, appearing at companies like SPIRE, Deluxe Corporation and Comcast as well as local chamber of commerce events and other civic groups.  He also is a professor at The Citadel teaching a marketing course and a graduate level sales class.

Spare Key, www.sparekey.org, is a Minnesota based non-profit that provides families with critically ill or seriously injured children in the hospital with housing grants.  Since 1997 the organization has served over 2,600 families in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin with nearly $2.7 million in housing grants.

The event includes a VIP Reception – catering by CRAVE – unique and one-of-a-kind Live and Silent Auction items – and Saint Paul Saints Owner/Fun Is Good Founder Mike Veeck as the featured speaker.  For more information and tickets go to:  http://sparekey.preclickbid.com/
