Getting to CHS Field

Saints Ready To Jump Around With Star Wars During August 3-6 Homestand

ST. PAUL, MN August 2, 2017

The good guys are back in town to face the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for the first homestand in August. The St. Paul Saints will have a variety of nights on hand to please everyone from Star Wars enthusiasts to superhero fanatics.

The Saints kickoff the homestand in heroic fashion on Superhero Night presented by Hamline University on August 3 at 7:05 p.m. We won’t make you choose between DC or Marvel, but instead celebrate all the heroes from Gotham City to Asgard. After you drink a few adult beverages, on Thirsty Thursday presented by Sprint with $1 beers, you’ll feel like you have superhero qualities.

Get ready to rumble as we pump up the jams on August 4 at 7:05 p.m. for Xcel Energy Friday Night Fireworks featuring the music of Jack Jams. Y’all ready for this as we move to the tunes of the best Jock Jams out there. Before the game, we will induct the newest member into the Killebrew Root Beer Professional Scouts Hall of Fame, Steve McAllister. Currently, McAllister is the Midwest Amateur Scouting Supervisor for the Arizona Diamondbacks, a role he has held since 2006. In 2012, he was elected to the Midwest Professional Baseball Scouts Association Hall of Fame and then was awarded the Diamondbacks Roland Hemond Award as the organization’s Scout of the Year. McAllister has been with the Diamondbacks since 2001 and has had a hand in a number of players signed and crosschecked including Paul Goldschmidt, Max Scherzer, Jarrod Parker and AJ Pollock.

Our 25th Season celebration continues on August 5 at 7:05 p.m. as we honor former St. Paul Saint, Jack Morris. Morris played in the Major Leagues from 1977-1994 for the Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Indians. During his career, he earned a number of accolades including 1991 World Series Most Valuable Player and was a five-time All-Star in 1981, 1984, 1985, 1987 and 1991. He played on five World Series teams including the 1984 Tigers, 1991 Twins and 1992-93 Toronto Blue Jays. Morris was the American League strikeouts leader in 1983 and shutouts leader in 1986. He ended his professional career with the Saints in 1996, pitching in 10 games and finishing with a 2.61 ERA. Since retiring, he has worked as a color analyst for MLB broadcasts on Fox Sports. The first 1,500 fans will receive a Jack Morris Bobblehead presented by Treasure Island Casino.

After the original night for the Jedis was rained out on May 20, order has been restored in the force and Star Wars Night, presented by Delta Air Lines, will take place on August 6 at 5:05 p.m.  Polish your droids and come out early to catch the Wiffle Wars. Mark Parrish and Paul Fletcher will be on hand to host the tournament that benefits the United Heroes League. Kids are able to run the bases and get team autographs after the game on Chevy Family Fun Sunday.

Saints tickets continue to be a tremendous value.  Tickets begin at $5 for the Treasure Island berm seating (available only on day of game in person at the box office), $6 for bleacher seats, $14 for outfield reserved, $16 for the drink rail and $18 for infield reserved and home plate reserved.  Friday Home Games with Post-Game Fireworks are an additional $2 per ticket.  Post-Game Fireworks Supershows (August 31) are an additional $3 per ticket.  Tickets purchased on the day of the game are an additional $2 per ticket.  Children under the age of 12 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price.  Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.
