Short Three Game Homestand Will Have Saints Fans Shaking Their Booty In the Ring

ST. PAUL, MN (June 20, 2012) – It’s a weekend stop at home for the St. Paul Saints before they head back on the road, but fans will get a chance to shake their (pirate) booty while rumbling in the jungle as the Saints try to knock the feathers off the Sioux Falls Pheasants as the teams meet for the third consecutive weekend from June 22-24.

On Friday, June 22 at 7:05 p.m. it’s BAE Systems Family Night at the ballpark.  Also, it’s the moment everyone has been waiting for as Kim Lardashian and Kris Hamphries will officially tie the knot.  The gift table will be set up on the main concourse, along with a guest book to write your well-wishes and, of course, wedding cake for everyone after the ceremony.  The post-game wedding reception will be a party to remember featuring the Saints very own Seigo singing the first dance song.  It will all culminate with our Xcel Energy Friday night fireworks, a show that will leave the kids ooohing and the parent’s ahhhing.

On Saturday, June 23 at 7:05 p.m. get ready to “Float Like a Butterfly and Sting Like A Bee” on Boxing Hall of Fame Night.  Be the first to find out who will be inducted into the 2012 class of the Minnesota Boxing Hall of Fame.  Last year the Saints honored Charley Kemmick, Mike O’Dowd, Johnny “Kewpie” Ertle, Jackie Graves, Duane Bobick, the “Rice Street Rocker” Mike Evgen, “Papa” Joe Daszkiewicz, Emmett Weller and George Barton.  What 2012 inductees will join this illustrious group?  Make sure to come out early to find out.  Also, study up for Success Saturdays presented by University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

The last game of the homestand is Sunday, June 24 at 1:05 p.m. with Shake Your Pirate Booty Day presented by the Science Museum of Minnesota.  Be sure to hold onto all your golden doubloons or you’ll be walking the plank.  This day is sure to be a pirate’s life for you.  During the summer make sure to check out the Real Pirates!: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship.  Meet members of the Whydah’s crew and explore what life was like on a real pirate ship.  The last day to check out this fantastic exhibit is September 3. Following the game kids can run the bases and get autographs from the entire team on Family Sunday.

Sure it’s only three games, but we’ve jam packed so much fun into it you will need the week in between homestands to recover from all the fun.  Get your wedding outfit to the drycleaner, lace up the boxing gloves and put on your eye patch because this homestand is fun for the entire family.

Tickets for Saints home games are $5 for general admission, $8 for outfield reserved and $12 for infield reserved.  Tickets purchased on the Day of the Game are an additional $1 per ticket. Children under the age of 14 and seniors 65 and older receive $1 off the admission price.  Children under 2 that don't require a seat are free.  Tickets are available by contacting the Saints ticket office at 651-644-6659 or visiting
